Mix well and separate from cells within 1 hour of collection. Transfer plasma into standard aliquot tube. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered.

Special Info

Grossly hemolyzed specimens are unacceptable. Peripheral draws are preferred. Samples drawn (directly into the protease tube) from ports are acceptable, but not recommended, and run the risk of contamination. Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. This test is New York DOH approved.
