Special Info

Freeze at -70 degrees C or on dry ice immediately. In general, it is important to obtain cellular material without exudate from the suspected infection site. Place swab in the M4 transport tube immediately. Urogenital and urine specimens should be submitted for the Chlamydia trachomatis amplification test instead of culture.

Clinical Info

Rule out Chlamydia trachomatis infections.
