GI Preservative Tube

GI Preservative Tubes are used to test for pancreastatin in plasma (PANCST).

After collecting blood, separate plasma as soon as possible. Transfer the plasma to a new tube immediately after separation and freeze immediately

Additional Information

• Patients must be fasting 10-12 hours prior to collection of specimen.
• If possible, the patient should not be on any medications that may influence Insulin levels for at least 48 hours prior to collection.
