Clinical Info
Interphase FISH analysis utilizing a dual color, break-apart probe for the DDIT3/GLI1 genes at 12q13.3. Rearrangements involving the DDIT3 (CHOP) gene are observed in myxoid/round cell liposarcoma. The translocation partner gene cannot be identified in this assay. This assay also detects GLI1 amplification, which may be seen in mesenchymal soft tissue neoplasms. If no cells are available for analysis, no analysis charges will be incurred.
