Clinical Info
Testing should not be performed as a screening procedure for the general population. Interpretation of the serologic results must be made in the context of the clinical presentation of each patient. Patients with Equivocal results should have a new sample collected and tested 1-2 weeks later.
Clinical Limitation
Specimens containing anti-nuclear antibodies may produce equivocal or positive test results. EBV IgM positive specimens may produce equivocal or positive test results. Immunocompromised patients may be difficult to interpret.
